I would...but trying to explain the merits of a K&N filter falls on deaf ears...so I doubt he will ever do that. But I will dhen I buy it off him in 15 Years...

Nice!

Both on the car, and on your dad being a cool enough dude to say "Yes, I want the version that goes fast."

You should test it out...you know...for quality control and all. :)

Yeah. The small engine has plenty of powah, but his thing is when passing a truck on as 2 lane, instant immediate power is a good thing. I'm not sure how good for him that will be with this as finishing the pass will land him at 125mph. Under 5 to 60? Can't wait to really experience uncorking that.

Ha, you cant teach an old dog to like cars for what they are beyond how they look.

I don't know how the new ones are, since I think the non "s" versions went down to a single turbo, but when I drove the older 335, it had this curious tendency to want to go faster the faster you went.

It's why I have two radar detectors now.

Did he buy the m-sport? The front end on the non-sport 3 and 4 just looks so squinty to me... =/

Either way, congratulations to him on the sporty coupe!

(PS - pics or it didn't happen!)

His history is: smallmouth tr3, chrome grill mgb, first year 240z, (insert family malaise cars) 300d turbo merc....etc so he likes more than looks...thank god.

Wish my dad gave a damn. He cares nothing for cars...absolutely nothing. To him they are tools nothing more. Which sucks since I drive a wagon so every time he wants to move/pick up something that doesn't fit in his E-class he wants to barrow my car:

And my love for it is as deep as the pit that I keep throwing money in to(car=pit). But he doesn't give a shit, its just 4 wheels with more cargo room... ask him about planes though...

What's funny is that planes for me used to be amazing. Now since they're my bread n butter, I don't care for them. Well the really old ones do something gor me but ask anyone who flys them and they're all quirky and not the best handling.

Not sure. I think the m would be just that much over the budget....the 435 was already reaching over it anyway. Next time I'm there to visit ill have to post a report on the experience...would probsbly be as year from now anyway.
